Bedroom and wetroom for Louie

Hello, I am a mother of 2 very happy children who live life to their fullest.
Louie my youngest however contracted meningitis at the age of 5 months old. He spent 11 weeks in hospital, two of which on life support in intensive care which resulted in him having to have both his legs amputated below the knees and also the fingers on his left hand.
He has progressed through life, needing a further 2 operations on his legs but is now a cheeky little four year old who is currently on his 8th pair of prosthetics.
Although he tries his hardest, as his mother i see that some of the simplest tasks are a struggle for him, climbing up and downstairs being his hardest and most frustrating challenge to date.
Therefore i have decided to extend our family home to make a downstairs bedroom and wetroom for him to make life easier and to encourage his independence as he gets older.
We have been lucky enough to be awarded a council grant to help with this however they have informed me that there will be a shortfall of approximately £10000. Should i not be able to find this money, Louie's extension will not be able to take place and he will continue being challenged by his limitations.
