Take-a-Bag Leave-a-Bag

Donation protected
Hello, we are team Project Clearwater (#3408) from the Waterford Graded Recreational Department’s Lego Robotics Team.  We are a team of 10 members ages 9-14 in the First Lego Lego League, and competed in the Regionals in Waukesha in November against about 30 other teams.  Our team is trying to solve a serious problem.  Our team is concentrated on the reoccurring issue of plastic bags being accidentally released into bodies of water.  Our solution to this problem was to find an alternative, which is increasing the use of reusable bags.  The average American family uses 1,500 plastic bags per year!  We have taken this Take a Bag, Leave a Bag solution to the FLL competition and were able to score in the top 10 and have moved to state sectionals in December.

We have devised and currently are testing a prototype at Pick n' Save in Waterford, Wisconsin.  It is similar to the Take a Penny, Leave a Penny, except with reusable bags available at no charge to those that do not have one with them.  Also, if people would like to donate a bag, they can for others to use.

We would love to have you help us to get money to purchase reusable bags  and print our logo on them so we can have more bags made to get our name and word out about our project. THANK YOU!
