Open World Team Travel Fund

The Open World Cause has finally reached a point where traveling to the school isn't just a desire, but an absolute must. Over the last four and a half years we have worked tirelessly to help fundraise for the SAV School in Bageshwori, Nepal. Recently, the school relocated with a new building and in a new region, known as Narayanpur. The school is now known as the Tripur Kinder Academy (TKA). With a need to build more classrooms and provide more supplies to the school and its students, our imperative has evolved to include a travel opportunity for our team to travel to the school, help construct new classrooms and assist with daily teaching activities in addition to learning more about the community and its surroundings. For us, this is the next logical step in taking Open World to new heights. We are thrilled to open this up to a public effort than we have utilized before because it is our best option for reaching our goals. Our supporters stand by us tirelessly, and for that our thanks extends infinitely.

Our Dreams for 2015

Over the next few months, we are hoping to raise enough money to build a classroom that will allow 30 new children to attend school. This money will also allow the school to purchase new solar panels and running water for the entirety of the TKA School.

It is our hope to also complete a dream started five years ago and physically travel to the school. While we're in Nepal, we want to help construct a classroom and assist Govinda in teaching classes over the summer.
In addition, we hope to travel to 8-10 schools in Nepal that have even fewer resources than the TKA School. Traveling to these areas will also give us the opportunity to conduct vital on the ground research about how we can provide access to better educational access to Narayanpur and its surrounding communities. It is our hope that we can also address health concerns in the future. 

Next year we hope to help give these schools the resources (technology, electricity, and clean water - all courtesy of the phenomenal efforts of Project Purus and our ongoing partnership with them) that we’ve helped give the SAV School over the past four years.

This year, we ask you one more time for your support as we raise money for these children in Nepal. About $10,000 stands in the way of us and our goal, but with your support, we are confident we can get there.
