The Business Man Medical

Starting back in October 2017, Biz got a little picky with food and had some elevated kidney values. Not too bad and at 12 years old not super concerning. And things seemed to resolve on their own. Fast forward to February 2018 and the inappetence returned and blood work was off the charts. That was the start of the medical mystery journey we’ve been on. 12 doctors so far. 14 days of overnight stays at the emergency hospital. Every test known to man. Almost 4 months of ups and downs. Thinking we’ve turned the corner and then backsliding on something else. Most recently endoscopy revealed mild IBD and a feeding tube was placed so we can get him enough nutrition while we fight to figure out what is causing his belly to be so angry. This special rescue boy from Hurricane Katrina is the center of our world and has also become a special boy to so many other people. We finally started this GoFundMe after wanting to avoid it for so long because we know he deserves for us to keep up his fight and don’t want medical costs to be a reason that we don’t give him his best chance. We hope to raise enough to cover several months of weekly X-rays and blood work at his specialist so we can continue to try and get over whatever is making his stomach so intolerant. We’ve been told it’s going to be a slow, long process with lots of trial and error. And we have changed our lives over the past few weeks to make sure we can do what we need to do. Looking for progress and baby steps of getting better every day.
