We're at a make-it or break-it moment here in Lancaster County. Our local movement against a natural gas pipeline has reached unprecedented size & strength.
Rural Lancaster County is ready to abandon (R) Rep. Joe Pitts over his refusal to take a stance on the proposed natural gas pipeline through Lancaster County farmland. Residents are throwing their weight behind (D) Tom Houghton, who has essentially been running on a "No Pipeline" ticket.
I'm proud to say that I've supported my hometown movement against the pipeline from it first began last spring. Since then I've been spending nearly all my time meeting, talking, strategizing, organizing, and learning from landowners & residents across Lancaster County. This movement is starting to win.
In a movement made up of thousands of primarily rural Lancaster Countians, I'm bringing significant experience and training as a community organizer - and am one of the few people dedicating significant time to coordinating county-wide efforts against the pipeline.
Every day, I am driving all over the county to meet, train, strategize, and organize with Lancaster Countians against the pipeline. Today I found out that my car needs nearly $1000 in repairs - and to put in bluntly - I'm broke.
Any donation made will go directly towards my car repairs. Anything extra will keep me organizing in the coming months with landowners in Lancaster. I am volunteering for this movement full-time & unpaid.
I'm grateful for your support!
Nick
