Left To Die--We're Adopting Joshua!

It began with a BBC documentary, "The Dying Rooms."Orphanages in China leaving sick children alone to die. Neglected, abused, and unknown, thousands of children called to us in our Canadian living room.

We knew we had to do something. And we did. Nine months later, after selling out, our family of nine was in Beijing China...to stay. 

The first months were filled with adjusting to the culture, teaching English, and seeking God's will. In February after a family ministry project, we received a phone call telling us of a baby abandoned three months previous at a hospice and left to die due to a severe brain injury.

Unbathed, the staff tending to only his most basic needs, he lay on a bed alone day and night with no love.
Immediately we knew we had to bring him home.

Over a year later, Joshua is healthy and happy even though half his brain is water! His doctors, after MRI's and an EEG are amazed that he can function as well as he does.  Under the love and care of a large family is really helping his brain develop in ways he would never get if he was just neglected. He is truly a miracle!
Our current project is now  is to make us his forever family, which will be a very difficult and expensive ordeal.

We are asking for help with the tremendous cost of everything involved with the adoption. We are a family of nine, living in China on a low income. We don't want money to come in the way between us and Joshua.
We're all sure if Joshua could talk, he'd say "I need you to help my mommy and daddy keep me in their home forever!"

PS - If for ANY reason the adoption cannot go all the way through (which would absolutely break our hearts), any remaining donations recieved will be used to Bless local orphanges here in China. We would personally see to it that needs for the orphans would be purchased with      the donations! But we go in Faith that all will go well with little Joshua! Afterall, God brought him to us! :-)
