EVERY MINUTE COUNTS!

New Rochelle's tracking program will now be known as New Rochelle Project Lifesaver.  Same concept, different company.

Chris and I have been working very hard to develop a New Rochelle tracking program that will significantly reduce the amount of time it would take to locate endangered persons who are at high risk for wandering and in fact wandered from their caregivers. We have been working very closely with the New Rochelle Police Department and have received their approval to launch New Rochelle's own independent tracking program. The program will be known as New Rochelle Project Lifesaver. The program is identical to the Westchester County Department of Public Safey Project Lifesaver Program. **

The New Rochelle Police Department will be THE first agency in Westchester County to own its own tracking equipement and will be the first agency to register and   service its at-risk residents.  The New Rochelle Police Department will be THE first agency in Westchester County to assist the County Police in searches for lost clients in New Rochelle and other jurisdictions throughout the county.

New Rochelle Project Lifesaver will allow the New Rochelle Police Department to track at risk endangered persons including those with Autism, Dementia and Alzheimer who are enrolled in the program.

Using Radio Frequency technology the time to locate registered persons will typically be under 30 minutes, which is much lower than the locate time for those without any tracking equipment. Too often incidents involving at risk wandering persons ends in unnecessary tragedy.

With your financial help it is our goal to purchase the tracking equipment and donate it to the New Rochelle Police Department.  The startup cost to fund this endeavor is estimated between $8000 to $10,000.

The startup cost will pay for the New Rochelle Police Department's Project Lifesaver Tracking Equipment - which includes tracking antennas, transmitters,  receivers, transmitter bracelets, replacement batteries and police department training.

Through our fundraising  efforts we hope to reduce or completely eliminate the cost that would normally be charged to New Rochelle families enrolled in Project Lifesaver (typically $250 to $300 initial cost for a transmitter and $85 a year for replacement batteries, estimated).

In addition to the cost for funding the police department's tracking equipmet it is also our goal to raise enough money to award Home Based Solution Packages to qualified New Rochelle families ($250 to $1500 value). ***

Home Based Solutions will allow caregivers to set an invisible and alarmed perimeter fence around their loved one and will provide personal home tracking equipment should they go missing. If the loved one wanders too far the alarm will sound and the loved one should be recovered before entering unsafe conditions. If the loved one wanders too far and becomes lost the Home Based tracking equipment can be used immeditely to begin tracking!  The Home Based Tracking Equipment and the Law Enforcement Tracking Equipment can be used TOGETHER to locate the loved one (at least three trained people searching for the loved one within minutes).  The Home Based Solutions are fully compatible with the Law Enforcement Equipement and 100% PORTABLE...which means you can take the Home Based Equipment anywhere your loved one goes!

The New Rochelle Police Department will be equipped 24 hours a day with its own tracking equipement which can be used immediately upon notification that a registered participant has wandered.

                        NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!

Please be a part of this significant milestone in New Rochelle and help us raise the necessary funds to make these purchases and keep our loved ones safer!
