What happens when you abandon your career,  buy a used van and build a bed into the back of it, load it up with home canning and dried goods, put what's left of your money in your pocket, and head out across the continent looking for interesting people to connect with and learn from?

Fear, that's what!  And some stress.
Which is all part of the journey!
And...perhaps part of the reason for it.

Over the years, as I've come to see how stress and negative patterns have impacted my health and well-being, I've become increasingly aware of how my way of being influences me and those around me - in both positive and negative ways.  I've analyzed things to death, and now it's time to take action and follow my gut!

Combining my interests in alternative schooling, holistic health, and organic food with a growing passion for connecting with people whose way of being brings love and peace to the actions they take and the work they do, I will be travelling through the States and parts of Canada with less of an itinerary and plan than I am generally comfortable with, leaning on intuition, and trusting in a Bigger Plan.

As I take this trip, my desire is...
- to be honest and true to myself
- to let go of expectations and striving
- to genuinely 'be' with people
- to learn more about things I love from an experiential point of view
- to become comfortable with fear
- to use fibromyalgia and other health issues as a way to learn about myself
- to learn to be still
- to learn to listen to my intuition
- to put health, mindfulness, love, and connection first
- to feel out my place in the exchange of energy and love and learning in this universe, with authenticity
- to trust

Small potatoes, really. :)

I will be looking for places to mentor, volunteer, and connect and share with others along the way (some of these are already materializing!), and will be keeping a blog of my travels and experiences, along with a map tracking my trip.

No obligation or pressure to donate money.  If you would LIKE to, I would be happy to receive (and will give you fun gifts in return - see below!).  If you know of someone who has money burning a hole in their pocket who might like to throw some my way, by all means pass this on!  If you would like to contribute to this trip by sending me happy messages, positive energy, loving thoughts, jokes, food, a place to stay, suggestions of places to go, or anything else....bring it on!!

I will endeavour to pass on the love by being peaceful, authentic and kind with all those I meet. :)

Costs on this journey (where I anticipate my money going):
- food
- gas
- ferry costs
- new battery for the used van I just bought
- travel and car insurance
- some minor camping supplies
- holistic health appts and supplements for fibromyalgia, anemia, etc

I will be keeping costs as low as I can by bringing food, eating out of gardens, living in my van and tent, staying with hosts, volunteering, working when possible, and not spending.
