"On the Move", MN Fringe 2014

As a group of recent college graduates and collaborative artists we are in the midst of creating our first show for the Minnesota Fringe Festival. This project has already been so rewarding for us that we hope it can also be rewarding for the incredible individuals and organizations that have made this possible.

Our amazing cast has contributed countless hours of physical energy, concentration, positive attitude and creativity. These people could be spending time in a place where they are guaranteed a pay-check, but instead they are choosing to dance with us.

We also have multiple dance studios that have allowed us to use their space for free, saving us hundreds of dollars, as well as a dedicated and talented stage manager whose expertise goes far beyond our knowledge.

We have contributed our own pocket money to go towards production and marketing fees as well, the total of which has accumulated to over $800.

All funds raised here will go towards compensating our dancers and supporters for their artistry and voluntary commitment to this show, as well as going towards the fees necessary to make this show a reality. Please help us give back to the community that has made this show possible.

On the Move is a collage of dance styles (tap, modern, jazz, and physical theater) and stories about how we travel. These funny, thoughtful, relatable vignettes are inspired by experiences ranging from sitting in morning traffic, to biking in the city, to commuting in our Minnesota winters. Our show’s world premiere will be in the Minnesota Fringe Festival at Intermedia Arts. Our show times are listed below.
