One Dream For Heather Animal Rescue

PLEASE help us make a difference by donating to help open a non profit animal rescue here in Georgia where abused and neglected animals can begin their journey to a happy and healthy life in loving homes.

Every day our hearts are deeply saddened by the staggering number of pets that we see posted on social media, the ones right here in our own community, and the ones being euthanized in high kill shelters all across our country. The stray, abused, neglected and abandoned are suffering, tossed away like garbage by the very people who vowed to love and protect them. This is our mission to help ease a nation wide problem and help provide a safe haven for animals with no where to go. A place where second chances for a happy life in a loving, forever home are possible.

But we cannot do this alone. We need your help to raise the funds needed to purchase a piece of property for our rescue. Our mission is to open a certified, non-profit rescue to help ease the over-crowding in our county, as well as to be able to pull other pets in danger from high kill shelters all across the US. We will be working closely with our local Humane Society and shelters, as well as many volunteers, in order to home as many animals as possible. We already have the property picked out, but we need your help to make this dream come true. This has been a life long dream of my daughters and mine for many years now. My daughter, Heather, suffers from a genetic disorder and an incurable heart condition which prevents her from doing many things. But it does not prevent her from doing what she loves most by loving an unwanted creature or comforting it when it is sick or after surgery.  Please donate to help us purchase this property before it is sold. Although we know there will always be other properties available for us to purchase with these funds, and we have already located three other options, It would be next to impossible to ever locate another property so perfect for our rescue where land and space are plenty. But I fear time is running out, and organizing fund raisers takes time. Please help us reach our goal before this PERFECT property is sold and we are forced to choose another! Any donation, large or small DOES make a difference! These beautiful, innocent animals need us. They need YOU! And together we CAN be their saving grace. This is Pocket. Heather's first rescue pet, her best friend, and her kindred soul. A silly, silly pup that has changed our lives in so many wonderful ways and filled a place in our hearts with a love we feared to ever allow in again after the loss of our sweet girl, Kai. He reminded us of who we are, that any obstacle can be overcome,  and to never give up on what we believe in. He has also reminded us of just how many more are out there who need our help. He is our poster pup, our inspiration. This is just after his surgery to remove his injured leg and the beginning of his leash training, and a new life.  Please help us help others just like Pocket to also find their happy ending.
