Be A Light In The Darkness

Hello, my name is Christian Baczyk. I do not know you.
But I know that we share one similiarity for sure. We feel bad seeing beloved people of going through hard times.

To introduce you to this campaign, please let me tell you the story of how my friend, "The Oldenyouth", and I have met:
I started to give it a shot and start writing what people would call "epic music" or also "trailermusic" these days about two years ago.
I have always been absolutely overwhelmed by how composers such as one of the most popular one, Thomas Bergersen, were able to touch me so deeply with their music and made me reflect about my life.
It was different to each type of music I have ever heard.
It made me feel strong during bad times back when I have been bullied and got laughed at because of my how I looked like or even worse - because of my dreams.
I promised myself to do whatever I can to learn how to make music like theirs to have the same impact on other people like it had on me.

I bought myself some first, cheap composing equipment and started writing.
I never really expected that people - besides my family - would ever consider to listen to my music.
After a while I created a few first songs and started to get in contact with several promotion channels who uploaded videos with music that I usually listened to, such as "Two Steps From Hell" or "Audiomachine".
I didn't have high hopes they would even reply to me but then Kevin Mantey (Trailer Music World I & II on YouTube), one of my best friends today, red my message and told me he would upload my music.

After a while I've been contacted by someone who called himself "The Oldenyouth".
He told me that my music helped him a lot to go through a very tough time as he was bullied due to his weight and also facing other difficult situations.
So he wrote me a long thank you letter which I will never forget.
It meant the world to me.

After a few video messages back and forth I was more than sure that I found a friend for life. I've never been a big fan of having friends over a long distance but this changed my mind totally.

Due to his past he was travelling a lot through the world together with his father and had many experiences that formed his current perspective on life.
He teached me many things about philosophy that he learned from conversations with spirituals or monks and also to start questioning certain things.
We both started to take up the reins at that point. He started to start doing sports and lost almost half of his bodyweight from the past due to heavy workouts and listening to epic music which motivated him to believe in his dreams.
With his help I got more confident and gained a lot of valuable knowledge. I started to believe in my dreams and went for it.

Without a doubt I can say that I would not be where I am today if I did not meet this special person.

Unfortunately poverty has been threatening him very much since I know him.
He learned how to heal people by only using natural methods. As well he made people regrow their hair after they have been told their hair would never grow again from real doctors.
Though he fights against poverty day by day he tries to help whereever he can. He helps old people with his methods without charging money from them.

Here's a video showing him helping an old woman to recover from the pain in her hands:

Due to the japanese law he is not allowed to become an official doctor which makes him struggle a lot these days.
In addition to this already tough situation there's something else that happened one day ago.
The only family member he still has, his father, got a diagnose for having cancer.

I always hoped that I could make a change in this world. Wether this is through my music or through my actions.
I am more than sick of our society which is fully controlled by it's ego.
If you ask me - we are on the border to collapse as a society because of egoistic needs or grow together as a society and initiate a new chapter in humanity.

You and me can be part of this movement. You and me can make a difference.
It is not like they are telling you that you are just one of billion people.
We are not seperated, we are connected.

This campaign is for my friend, "The Oldenyouth", the person that - next to my family - had the biggest impact in my life and changed me to become to a better man.
I know that he has to be there for his father now and has to focus on keeping him alive.
He will not be able to deal with another big threatening such as poverty for a long time I am afraid.

So my idea was the following:

I composed a track which is called "Illuminate".
The night I recorded this certain track was really emotional and I had tears in my eyes while writing this piece of music.
I want this track to become a light in people's darkness. I want them to decide to fight and not to give up - no matter how bad the current situation looks like. Because in the end each of us will have his or her own impact on our planet's history.

I uploaded this track to a music distribution service called "Bandcamp" which allows me to give away this track for free as a previous thank you to all people who will participate in supporting my friend.

You can download it for free. But after you did - please donate some money to this funding campaign and/or share it with your friends.

I know that my friend would be the last one who would go public with his problems and ask people to help him or even ask for money. He might hate me for this but at least I know I did what I have been able to to help him.
The money will be used to assure that "The Oldenyouth" and his father will be able to pull through the next weeks or even months regarding food, paying the rent and hygienic articles and especially - to be able to pay for the cancer treatment.

Please help us. Be a part of a movement. Be a light in someone's else darkness.

Thank you for reading.

Christian
