Six years ago Lisa was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After undergoing a series of biopsies and testing she began a regiment of radiation and chemotherapies over the following several years that severely impacted her immune system. As a result she has been suffering significant complications affecting multiple vital organs.
During the early stages of her illness she continued her career; however, as the disease progressed she was forced to cut back her hours. Finally based on medical advice she had to stop working.
This has not only been a huge burden financially but also psychologically and emotionally.
