Blood Testing in Guatemala

Lake Atitlan Wellness Clinic provides free medical care to the indigenous Maya people in the Highlands of Guatemala. We have been open since March 6, 2014 and in that time have addressed almost 4000 office visits, offering consultation and medications absolutely free of charge to those who are unable to pay.
Our current emphasis is the purchase of a device to test 27 components of blood, right in our clinic. Without this equipment, patients needing their blood to be tested must visit an outside laboratory. They are, in almost all cases, unable to pay those fees. So they don't go for testing and often don't return to the clinic. They simply give up hope.
With the capability to test blood right in the clinic, blood related diagnostics can be accomplished at the very first visit. With blood testing capabilities much pain and suffering will be relieved and many lives will be saved.
Please help us save lives and relieve pain and suffering for hundreds and hundreds of infants, children, adults and senior citizens who have little hope of healing without our support.
