                                  Our School Story
          More than 53 years ago, our lovely Assumption School was founded by the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady Mother of the Church. Over the decades, our dedicated religious sisters, faculty, and staff have nurtured, inspired, and motivated students to achieve their fullest potential.
          Assumption School provides high-quality education founded on Catholic Christian values for children of middle-income families in central Connecticut. We teach our students – from the youngest Pre-K child all the way to the eighth grade teen – to love and respect their faith, their families, and each other. In addition to a strong academic curriculum, Assumption School promotes traditional values, good manners, grace, and courtesy in service to others as important components of an exciting education program.
          In spite of the economic challenges faced by the state of Connecticut and our school over the past several years, the school staff, the parish community, and our religious sisters have remained committed to keeping Assumption School viable. In the light of the significant financial challenges the school continues to face, more than half the parents have voluntarily come together, created committees and are dedicating their resources, time and talents to ongoing projects and initiative in efforts to sustain Assumption School now and into the future.
