new band uniforms

The Jefferson High School Band of Blue  in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is raising money for 200  new band uniforms.  Our current uniforms are 14 years old and in constant need of repair.  Over the 14 years, these uniforms have been used, band parents and community volunteers have given hundreds of hours to repair, tailor, and maintain the quality of the uniforms.

In 2008, our city was impacted with a flood that devastated our community.  Then in 2014, a tornado went through our community greatly impacting our school.  These occurances have hindered our fundraising opportunities.  Along with these events, our school district does not provide any funds toward new uniforms leaving families solely responsible for needed funds.  This causes hardships for many families as 47% of Jefferson High School students qualify for free and reduced lunches and fees.
