Nundah Supports DV survivors

Donation protected
The Nundah Neighbourhood Centre and Community Legal Service has operated for over 25 years. Services include a community legal service, information and referral services, family support and domestic violence programs, community education programs and social inclusion activities. All services are provided free of charge.

Journeys Program - supporting domestic violence survivors
This 8-week program is for women who have experienced DV in their intimate relationships. Journeys is both therapeutic and educational and provides an opportunity for women to break the sense of silence and isolation so often experienced when living with DV. Women make connections with other like-minded women. Ongoing friendships and support networks are formed with people who understand their circumstances and want to help each other through the difficult times and celebrate the good times.

You CAN make a difference
“There is so much I will be doing differently. I feel excited about my future with myself and am already putting the things I’ve learned in this class into play in my everyday life! I am so grateful!!" - Journeys program graduate

Journeys groups are run twice a year, at a cost of $6,000 for 20 participants. The Power Station Co - with the support of the Nundah community - is hoping to raise enough funds by 30 June to cover the cost of running one program. PSCO is donating a portion of ticket sales from the recent Friday Night Social event, as well as driving further fundraising efforts. With your help, we can give 20 deserving women the chance to get back on their feet.
