The Lenix family is very appreciative and thankful for the overwhelming support through this time of pain and difficulty. In honor of Mitt Lenix.
The Mitt Lenix Memorial fund has been setup in conjunction with the family and friends of the Lenix Family and Starlight Drive-In Theatre to further the awareness of martial arts in the Atlanta area.
The purpose of this fund is to assist those in need and who have a desire to enter the teachings of martial arts. Over the years these students have passed through the martial arts studio and have embraced a positive direction in life. Throughout Mitt's lifetime he personally taught and mentored 100's of students who have entered the doors.
The Lenix family has owned and operated martial arts training schools for over 20 years and have taught many students young and old, self-discipline, inner-peace and respect of human life through the teachings of martial arts.
Currently, the Lenix family martial arts studio is located just south of Atlanta in Stockbridge, Georgia. The school is currently home to over 100 students who attend classes on a daily basis.
To contact the family directly please visit the martial arts studio website. www.uma-musado.com
The Starlight Drive-In Family is devastated by the senseless and terrible events that took place on the night of May 14th. We do not accept that this is the way our neighborhood or City behaves. We do not accept that one person can hurt so many with a senseless act and we sit by and do nothing.
The Starlight Family of patrons is generations deep, and mightily strong through the love of family, community and tradition. The Starlight has welcomed all walks of life, ages and races since we opened in 1949, and will continue to do so for another 60 years.
Mitt Lenix and the sacrifice he made must be used as a galvanizing force to make this a better City.
A City where things like this, happens to no one.
Thank you for your support.

Dear Family, Friends and All, In the beginning this fund was set up to help us with expenses for the loss of our son. We decided to use it to help others instead. On Sunday June 24th we went to visit the mother of the young man that was struck by the police car in pursuit of our son's murderer. She was extremely depressed and was totally heart broken as may be expected. She also was having difficulty making ends meet and could not even afford to pay for her son's funeral, so we donated $1000.00 dollars to help her through these hard times. We are sure that is what Mitt would have done if he were here. Please pray for Ms. Anne Marie during her difficult time. Thank You, The Lenix Family

Dear Family, Friends and All, The first person to receive a scholarship from the Mitt Lenix Hero fund is a 10 year old girl named Tasia. Tasia has had a rough life, with a father in prison and having found her mother dead of an overdose, her life was headed nowhere fast. Then a soldier in the US Army and his family took her in as a ward of the court. They have been showing her the love and support that she so desperately needed. We decided to help them help her and have selected her to receive the very first scholarship in honor of our son. She is progressing well and is a joy to work with. We are looking forward to a long and rewarding journey together. Even though she receives a scholarship she still helps around the school to learn responsibility and to maintain her dignity.

Dear Friends, Family and all, Mitt's Mom and I would like to reach out to everyone and say thank you for your overwhelming show of love and support for our son. We thank everyone for their generous donations to the Hero fund in order to keep his legacy alive. As some of you are aware we have been sponsoring at risk individuals for over 20 years out of our own pockets. We have since started a hero fund to assist us in continuing to help those in need. The fund was originally set up by Jim Stacy and the Starlight Drive In to help defray our expenses at the loss of our son. The Hero fund had been started a month before this and we felt that the Starlight Fund and The Hero fund would be better utilized to help others. Jim Stacy graciously sat down with us and helped to set it up as a joint fund. We ask for your support of this now and in the future so we may continue helping others through the Martial Arts. We hope that through our continued effort we will be able to help them become bette

Thanks you all donors for supporting Tae Kwon Do Memorial Funds in memory of Master Mitt Lenix. He was the greatest role model for our next generation.

I remember Mitt when I was younger and practicing Tae Kwon Do. I visted his school with a friend and Mitt comenced to laying one of the most memorable Arse whoopings I have ever recieved. Even then Mitt was a respectable young man and it is a tradgic loss to lose someone of his calibur regardless of the circumstances. I am so sorry for your loss Mr. and Mrs. Lenix. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys during this time. Mitt will be missed by many.

Calamity The Beautiful Ones say we all are One, Rising and receding, in and of each other - inseparable, And so I am You, And You are me, I am sorry - Sorry for the brilliant young man, Shot in the face, or maybe the chest last night, On a date, At the Drive - In, Who, because his battery died asked the next guy for help, Shot as he stood, Dying where he'd stood, I am sorry for the wretched child who pointed the gun, Who pulled the trigger so casually, I grieve for the wasteland of his soul, I am sorry, too, for the other one who died, Hit by the car of the Police officer responding to the shooting, And the shambles of a life left to the cop, I love them all - It feels like somebody tossed a rock into the web last night, Tugging on the strands that connect us - I to You, You to me, us to them. To the family -- first, hopefully the love and good wishes here are coming through in this trying time. If it helps at all, Jim Stacy is a very well-known quantity in several of the communities affected. Certainly steer contributions to the places you think best, but if it's any consolation, know that there's no doubt the money will be going to the right place.

$20.00Karyl1 min ago My friend, her daughter and I were at the RenFest last Saturday and were delighted by the talent of this great performer and his "Breaking Point" associate Judah. Mitt's life achievements as described in news reports come as no surprise. We are shocked and saddened to hear of his death and our hearts go out to all of his family, friends and audience. Peace.

It's bad enough that he served our country and had to worry about battles in foreign lands, but to lose his life in the land of freedom is an monstrocity.. May those who are responsible be held accountable.. If not here then in heaven where I am sure Mitt is..!
