Sabal Palm Odyssey of the Mind Team

On February 28, 2015 something amazing happened to six students from Sabal Palm Elementary School. These students competed for the very first time in the regional Odyssey of the Mind competition and incredibly, they placed second, securing them a spot at the state competition in April.
In case you are unfamiliar with Odyssey of the Mind, it is a national educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Students bring their solutions to regional, state and local competitions. You can image the thrill our students experienced when, as our inaugural team, they earned the ability to attend the state competition.
Now that our children have done the hard work required to advance to states, they need us to help them make the actual trip. Demographically, our school is in-line with many of the poorest schools in Collier County. Our families cannot easily absorb the cost of a two-night stay in Orlando to attend the competition. This is why we need your help. We are seeking financial sponsorships that will allow our students and their families to attend the competition. Our overall goal is to raise $2500 to offset the cost of this trip. Any contribution you can make towards that goal would be greatly appreciated.
As you well know, the creative thinkers of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. We have the incredible opportunity to contribute to their success. Thank you in advance for doing so.
