NOSACONN

In our society today, far too many young people are trapped in poverty fall prey to crime, violence, drug abuse, and antisocial behavior. There is no quick and easy solution but the New Orleans South African Connection (NOSACONN) is making a positive difference by encouraging disconnected inner city youth to stay in school and get an education, providing them with guidance, mentoring and life skills education, and promoting a positive message of hope, peace and tolerance. The task is daunting. NOSACONN currents serves as many students as its resources will allow. In order for NOSACONN to expand operations and help more students, additional funding is needed. Thus, NOSACONN is seeking donations from kind hearted, public spirited individuals who share its goal of fighting poverty and helping young people get the skills and education they need to join the mainstream of American society.

NOSACONN is a 501 3 C non-profit organization making a positive difference in the lives of students. NOSACONN's award winning educational programming uses music, the arts and culture to engage disconnected youth and encourage them to stay in school. Its tutoring services help students improve academic performance and earn college scholarships. NOSACONN also sponsors international festivals to expose students to other cultures and promotes a message of tolerance and peace.

NOSACONN's activities are centered today in New Orleans but its goal is to pioneer a new and innovative model of education reform that will help students everywhere. Programs are offer year round so funding needs are constant. All donations regardless of size will be greatly appreciated and will be used exclusively for serving students.
