North Hills (www.northhillsbaptist.com), with the help of local Whitesboro citizens, sent our pastor to Zambia Africa to help medical missionaries in August 2014. While there he talked with leaders of a remote village about their need for a medical clinic. The closest one to them is over 20 miles away...and their only means of transportation is walking. Most are too sick to see a doctor and many spread diseases to other villagers before dying.
1. Why Should I Help?
One in only 1000 children receive vaccinations or any medical treatment. Thousands of newborn babies die each year due to no available medical facilities. The more people are medically treated the less the risk of Ebola and other new diseases become.
2. What Difference Can I Make?
One US Dollar here is equal to $7 in Zambia. EVERY contribution you make has 7 times the buying power than in the US:
$5 here = $35 in Zambia
$10 here = $70 in Zambia
$20 here = $140 in Zambia
$100 here = $700 in Zambia
3. What You Give WILL Make a Difference
You can make any size contribution to help us build a medical clinic. Just a few dollars makes a HUGE difference! It takes only $7000 to build and equip a medical clinic that will help 10,000 to 20,000 villagers and children each year. Over 5 years 50,000 to 100,000 villagers will receive vaccinations and medical assistance!
4. How Do I Know My Contribution is Going To Do What I'm Told It Will Do?
100% of your contribution goes to building materials and supplies for the clinic.
100% of the construction labor is through volunteer teams
Our pastor personally knows the missionaries and the people involved in the building project and Pastor Tim will be personally part of the team overseeing and involved with the building project. Your contribution will not be used for his travel expenses or any salaries.
