Music has always been the System of Survival in the city of New Orleans, however, our beloved band programs are suffering due to severe budgets cuts and other roadblocks. The New Orleans Legacy Association of Bands is committed to helping the local band programs in any way we can. We are hosting a funk train competition in September for high school drum sections in Orleans and Jefferson parish. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive funding to purchase new drum heads while all participating drum sections will receive other essential items like drum sticks, mallets, etc. We need your help to make this happen for the students in New Orleans and the surrounding areas!
If New Orleans music has in any way touched your soul, help us to make this happen. Our students needs this!
