Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter

The Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides care for children who are in crisis in Lexington County, SC. Since its founding in 1972, it has provided safe refuge for over 5,000 children. A nurturing, home environment is often what these children need as they arrive to the shelter with little hope after suffering neglect, abuse, and abandonment. Unfortunately, over the years space has become limited at the shelter, and storage of items for the children is at a premium. The shelter is in URGENT need of more storage space.

The Leadership Lexington County (LLC) Class of 2017's service project centers around building an on-site, climate controlled 30' x 20' large framed storeroom for the shelter. LLC is a non-profit organization focused on developing leaders in our community. The class project focuses on positively impacting those who are in the most need.  

We are asking for funds to help start the storage unit construction process, which includes building materials and permits. The storage unit will need to be completed by the end of 2017. All funds will be used to benefit the Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter, and any donation that is beyond what we need will be given directly to the shelter.
