Hello, I am Michelle Hall and I pray that this day finds you and our family in good health.
Well, that is not the case for young Riley.
12 year old Riley Kim, the son of Andrew Kim and Rebecca Riley, was diagnosed with stage 4 clinical group 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma on July 29, 2014. It is described as a monster of a cancer and only about 10 kids in the USA get Riley's diagnosis each year. He has a year of intense chemo therapy and approximately 6 weeks of radiation coming his way. As expected, this agressive treatment for Riley is hard and grueling on his young body but he is a fighter and is serious about his fight to win his fight against this cancer that has plaqued hi young body.
Not to anyone's surprise, Riley wants his mother at his side 24/7 so Rebecca has left her work to be there for her son. This along with the unimaginalble medical expenses of course puts a strain on the families finances.
Riley spends a average of 5 days a week in the hospital for treatments. Many services are not covered by the insurance company so in order to receive them, the fees must be paid up front by the family. Riley is a smart child and he knows the financial worries that his family has just meeting day to day expenses in order to provide for his needs. Naturally instead of focusing on fighting his cancer and getting well, he worries about his family. Your donations are important for the financial and emotional stability of Riley and his family!
