Nigel Perineal Urethrostomy Surgery

We had to say good bye to Niblet on December 31,2016.  After saying good bye to her we didnt think we could open our hearts yet to another Cat. Then Mirandas Grandma passed away on March 4th, 2017. Mirandas world was falling apart after losing both of them. We decided it was time to look for another cat, since Nala was also depressed. We ended up at SafeHaven. We saw Nigel(rootbeer at the time) and instantly fell in love. Miranda held Nigel and he reached out for Michael, we knew it was meant to be. We payed the adoption fee and brought him home. Since bringing him home he has faced infection after infection as well as slight incontence while resting/sleeping(while not on antibiotics) We took Nigel to Oregon Veterinary Referral Associates on August 10th and finally got some answers. 
They said that he needed a PU(Perineal Urethrostomy) inwhich he pees like a girl. The surgery is a sliding scale of 2600 to 3000. We would apperciate all the help we can get towards this bill. We both work full time and have other bills to pay for as well.  
I have called other veterinary clinics for prices and was informed that I would have to take him in for an exam as well as an office visit charge. In the end we would end up paying the same price if not more. The quoted price from Oregon Veterinary Referral Associates is with the office visit charge included.
