Help our mom, Nidia, extend her life, by supporting her on her decision on having a Stem Cell procedure done. Stem cells can replace cells that are lost or damaged by injury or disease. When treated under the right conditions; stem cells can be developed and grown to help form organs, bones, cartilage and tissue. They also have the ability to repair the Immune System.
What Happened to my mom?
Nidia has been fighting for dear life for the past ten years, when she was diagnosed with Vasculitis disease, an inflammation of the blood vessels. The condition occurs when the immune system attacks your blood vessels by mistake. Then, in 2006, Nidia was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She went through nine months of chemotherapy, and had a Bilateral Mastectomy procedure done. Later, in late 2007, Nidia was diagnosed with Lupus disease. One of the world's cruelest, most unpredictable, and devastating disease. Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect various parts of the body, especially the skin, joints, blood, kidneys, and other vital organs. Nidia has been treated with the best doctors in Southern Orange County, including specialized doctors from Saddleback Hospital and Mission Viejo Medical Center. Then went on to become a special prospect for UCLA Research Center (where she is still being treated) as her conditions were so unique and rare. This was by far the best news we could have asked for.
However, as her conditions are having a difficulty being treated without the expensive surgeries and medicine she could not afford, Nidia is being forced to try to come up with some funds to get looked at and treated by a specialized Doctor who has great knowledge in the Stem Cell procedure. Nidia is willing to travel wherever she needs to, at all costs, to save her life. The funds raised will be used for the Stem Cell procedure, God forbid any surgeries, medicine and travel expenses. Currently, Nidia has found two amazing Doctors she could only wish to be seen and treated by. Raising these funds will be the one and only way she could get this done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
