Please help fund my TEAM GB PARACLIMBING GOAL
Hi my names Nick,
i am an upper body amputee, and recently I have been carefully selected to represent GREAT BRITAINS' PARACLIMBING TEAM.
i came overall 3rd in my category for the British paraclimbing series 2014
stage 1 London the castle climbing centre (placed 7th)
stage 2 Newcastle climbing centre (placed 4th)
stage 3 Manchester climbing centre (placed 2nd WOOOOOO)
I was born with my lower left arm missing. I am a congenital amputee.
I have been climbing approximately 25 years on and off. Starting in scouts I gradually became more and more hooked as the years went by.
and now I find myself, in what can only be described as a totally awesome situation.
CLIMB FOR MY COUNTRY!!
what an absolute honor eh.....
this can be an expensive business. A few examples:-
TRANSPORT
to and from important team training days.
competition venues, flights.
NUTRITION
special foods and nutritional advice that give the all important edge over our competition.
TRAINING
whilst I fully intend to train harder, coaching has proven to be invaluable. Every insight and word of wisdom from coaches has helped me keep ahead of the competition.
KIT
The all important kit. Safety equipment and aids are essential to producing results.
clothing, comfort is key when expecting the body to perform
climbing harnesses, safety is critical and should be taken seriously by all.
climbing chalk, you can never have enough chalk. It helps maintain grip.
for this reason I ask you to dig deep and tell your friends.
Please share on your Facebook or simply email the link.
every penny helps.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
NICK :-)
