My sister's life

Donation protected
This is my sister Lynda. Lynda is a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother and a friend to everybody. She has always been a fun loving life loving person. Lynda is 61 years old.  She has always been a very independent person. In her younger years she worked three jobs to raise her 5 children. In the following years she remarried and started over again with a set of 2 year old twins. So that makes her a momma of 7. Her family has always been her lifeline, and all of them are very close. On August 10th 2013 she was in a tragic motorcycle accident. This accident has and will forever change her life as well as the lives of her family. A once very strong willed independent women now has to rely on doctors nurses and others for the simplest of things. Lynda spent months being hospitalized, and then months at home just about bed ridden. In the begining they put a rod in her leg. March 17th they took bone from her pelvis and put it in her leg. She was so looking forward to August. As she was told she would at the point be able to put pressure on her leg and be walking. Mid April she was devasted to learn that she had a very bad infection in the bone and on the rod. Nothing could be done for her at that point. The infection was too bad. She went in to depression, as all her pain and suffering was not, in the end, going to allow her to walk again. As the fun loving person she was, she got her family and the kids together  with her brave face to talk to them about the life altering decision she would have to make. I remember sitting there along with the kids. At that point my little great nephew who is 6 said to her don't be sad grandma ,dont worry I will teach the new babies to do all the cartwheels and all the stuff you taught me to do. Those words have stuck with me, because he was one of the youngest grandchildren telling her it would be okay. My heart broke that day seeing the look on my sisters face as she realized how this would forever change her world. So on April 22nd 2014 a year and a few days after the accident the doctors did an above the knee amputation. My sister now instead of having her grandma cartwheel legs now has a leg and about an 8 inch stump. I can not begin to say all the emotions she has been through, from being very depressed, feeling useless & worthless to wanting to climb under a rock and not exist. But because of her being who she is knows life must go on no matter what. Lynda would not have made it through what she has been through without the love, help and support of her entire family. Her adult children are still all momma's babies. Right there by her side when she has needed them to be there and even when she didnt know it they were there. Life has been different, very hard and challenging for her. I am doing this for her because of renovations that need to be made in her home, all kinds of medical co payments, they are working on a prosthetic leg for her and the co payment alone is about $12,000 and different things and adjustments that need to be made to make her feel like a productive human being again. This whole situation has been so hard on her. From making a change from who she was to who she has become, to the changes she has has to make. This has had such an impact on her entire life, emotions, feelings, self worth and relationships. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please know any donations towards her needs will be greatly appreciated.
