I am ready to release my best album yet this Summer 2014, but I can't do it without your help!
To those of you that are already fans of Music Producer/Poet Ifa Halima Bumi, good to see you again. For those of you that might be discovering her for the first time, Hello and thanks for stopping by.
In April of 2009 I reached the ultimate milestone by releasing my first spoken word CD and full length book of poetry through the Liquid Toffee Project. I received hundreds of fans and sold digital copies from the US to the UK. Even though it was a struggle financially and traveled the road alone, I was able to promote the album in various venues along the East Coast during the Summer of 2010. Since November of 2012 til now I have released 4 mega trance music singles. You can listen to the music by visiting Sound Cloud ( http://soundcloud.com/ifahalimabumi).
Now I am ready for the second album. This time I I don't want to do it alone.
OUR START
I will be producing and combining my poetry with my love of Electronic Dance Music. Collaborating with artists has always been a focus for me and I am excited to create art with others for this album.
I feel very strongly about the POWER of art. All of the money that goes into developing, recording, and packaging this album will employ artists (musicians, photographers, engineers, vocalists, writers, etc.).
What will makes this project different than the other is that I am asking for your COLLABORATION! I want YOU to be in on the process by contributing what you can to its success. I am incredibly grateful for your support through the years and appreciate your partnership in this exciting new endeavor!
I have a goal of raising $14,444 to help with studio, mastering, mixing, musicians, duplication and artwork. If we don't hit the goal all of your pledges will be returned to you. Thank you in advance. I really look forward to sharing this music with all of you.

IMPORTANT: For my $1,000 BACKERS - EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW & LIVE PERFORMANCE This package includes CDs and T-shirts for guests in attendance/you invite (up to 50 copies). I will perform at a Venue of your provision. If the location is outside of the U.S you will be responsible for travel and lodging costs on top of the pledge amount.
A percentage of all proceeds will go to organizations that support women in music:
Women's Audio Mission (WAM)
Women's Audio Mission (WAM) is a San Francisco-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of women in music production and the recording arts, a field in which women are critically under-represented (less than 5%). www.womensaudiomission.org
Gender Amplified
Gender Amplified is a movement that aims to celebrate Women in music production, raise their visibility and develop a pipeline for girls and young women to get involved behind the scenes as music producers. www.genderamplified.com
Risks and challenges
I understand that every major project has risks and challenges. I have already aligned all the moving parts to make sure this happens efficiently and on time. I will be sure to work hard and follow all timlines.
Please know that this project will only happen if 100% funded which means that your pledge will only be charged at that point - You will be ensured your reward package.
