Dear Friends,
Asking for help isn’t an easy thing for me to do, but my precious son needs your help now more than ever. As many of you know, my 10-year-old son, Grant has severe cerebral palsy. Grant is not only confined to a walker/wheelchair, but he is also unable to any of the basic self-care tasks we take for granted. On top of this, my little boy suffers through multiple seizures every day of his life while also living on 11 medications 5 of those being seizure medications. My heart absolutely breaks into a million pieces as I watch Grant endure the trauma of one uncontrolled seizure after another. At times, he spends days in the hospital until the seizure frequency lessens. I’ve done and will continue to do everything I can to help Grant have a better quality of life. He is worth every ounce of the fight it takes to lessen the tremendous daily burden he carries. Grant has recently been approved for Stem Cell Therapy and will need to travel for it. I personally know and have spoken to two families who have done this and seen improvements in their children. One has a child very similar to Grant. The therapy worked so well that the child is off his meds, is completely seizure free for the first time ever, and the child has improved mobility. Friends, this is what I so desperately want for Grant…for him to be free of these insidious seizures. I’ve included the link if you would like more info on this therapy or the facility. Every day of my life I look at Grant’s twin brother, Gavin, and desperately want them to enjoy life together like brothers should. Grant loves therapeutic horseback riding and Miracle League Baseball. Grant has the most contagious laugh and vibrant smile. Please, help us raise the funds needed to give Grant a better quality of life. This race of life is so hard and I’m so thankful the glory to come far outweighs all of this suffering. I’m also thankful for so many compassionate hearts that have helped support our family since Grant started this journey.
The amount needed for the stem cell therapy and travel expenses is approximately $25,000. We have 3 months to raise these funds. Our deadline to collect funds is 8/17/18. We appreciate any amount you can give to help.
