Dear friends,
Thank you for the outpouring of thoughts, prayers, and love.
The recent earthquake that hit Nepal early Saturday afternoon, April 27th, has left more than 4,000 people dead, which has left many children orphan out of reach to schools. This is a huge tragedy - thousands more are injured and hundreds still missing. The 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck 50 miles north-west of Nepal's capital, our home town, Kathmandu. Over 40 aftershocks, one registering as high as 6.7 magnitude, have hit since. There have been several avalanches across the Himalayan mountain range that have impacted hundreds of trekkers and mountaineers during Nepal’s peak tourist season. We fear that many villages, with anywhere between 200-500 people in the hilly areas, are completely buried and trapped under the earth.
I am sure all of you have now seen glimpses of the tragedy and horrific images in the media. The loss of life and heritage at this scale are heart-breaking. Nepal is amongst the poorest countries in the world and we need your support.

Note: All funds will be deposited to Nepali School account and will be distributed through it. All updates will be provided in the it's websites with the list of donors and donation activities.
