Our Vision for Labyrinth Farm and for our Marriage
In lieu of wedding gifts we are reaching out to our friends and family to ask that you help us realize our dream of actualizing Tina’s talents and knowledge to help organize and educate people on the rescue, rehabilitation and re-training of horses. Through your donations we hope to put into place a plan to move forward into the future. (Also, since we have an established household, while nice, we really are not in need of gifts to fill our home.)
We are working with Joel Mason (Uncle Joel), Marilyn Sommer (Josh’s Mom) and Diane Musil (a good friend) to build a business plan to start offering rescue, rehab and therapeutic clinics for horses and people. This is our vision for our business and also for our marriage as we look forward to joining our lives together.
As part of that business plan and with the expansion of Labyrinth Farm’s business activities we intend to find and purchase property that will allow us to care for our own horses and family, offer clinics and educational retreats for horses and horse owners and provide a space to begin rescuing horses and teaching people how to rehabilitate their own horses, in a responsible and manageable way.
We are leasing the property where we currently live and work. Tina is able to teach lessons and train horses on this property, but it has limited acreage and lacks the facilities to grow. In addition, the property owner is not interested in selling. These gifts from family and friends will allow us to continue to grow this business and search for the perfect place to continue to work towards our goals and dreams.
Recently in speaking with the former President and Vice President of the St. John’s County Horse Council, they indicated that among the many knowledgeable horse people in our county Tina stands out for the skill and commitment of her strategies in the business educating people and their horses. We view this as an indication of the value and need for our specific approach in our region, for both horses and their owners.
As we take our vows and join our lives together, we are excited for the opportunity to share these dreams and goals with you all. Thank you for your love and support throughout both of our lives, we are so grateful for your help in achieving our dreams.
