The past 15 years have been exciting ones for Northwest Ballet Theater. We have brought bigger and better quality ballet productions to the area and have involved hundreds of artists, dancers, staff and volunteers who work together with us each year. We have also performed for thousands of citizens who make up our audiences. To keep pace with our growth, the NBT Board of Trustees has been more active than ever in its effort to increase our annual operating budget that will go mostly to production costs and our rental and labor fees at Mount Baker Theater and McIntyre Hall where we perform. None of this would have been possible without the involvement of various contributors who have supported NBT’s mission and vision for the future.
With the continued support of people who love and appreciate classical and contemporary ballet we will be able to do even more. I invite you to visit our website, www.northwestballet.org, to view our strategic plan for the next five years. The foundation of this plan involves making improvements to our existing facility or even plans to build a new facility to house our organization as it continues to grow. In addition, since ticket sales from NBT productions can only account for a portion of what it takes to run this organization, we are increasing our efforts to find new donors to support our season.
That is why we need your help today. We need your support to fund improvements to our productions and to make those productions better than ever before. NBT’s service to the community is now well known. If you have not had the opportunity to attend one of our performances yet, I encourage you to do so.
