Yes. You are correct.
However, if you know us, you know that we are not just 'another band'.
This band was formed 5 years ago and since our inception, we have had one goal. And that goal is to play music for as many people as we can, to travel to as many cities/countries that we can, and to expose as many people to our music that we can.
Okay that's actually 3 goals but you get the drift. We aren't here begging for scraps and don't want to give that impression...All we are saying is, If you have money to contribute and you want to, please do...If you don't, that's fine too!
The past 5 years have seen us play shows in almost all 50 states. We have played with countless amazing bands along the way. We have toured with and opened for bands that we grew up listening to and we have headlined for smaller bands that we might be opening up for one day. We are at the middleground of the music industry where we aren't local, but we aren't huge. We never intended to try and label ourselves as either of those things. We just wanted to play music. The more we played, the more of you got behind us.
You see, the first two albums a band puts out, they really do a lot for a band to help them find out a lot about themselves. It is a feeling out process. You find your equation...What works, what doesn't. What the fans like, what you like. You build a bond with your bandmates and fans and find what works best for you.
Over the course of those 2 albums, we have put our everything into this band. Buying vehicles to tour in, printing merch, keeping our equipment up to date, etc. All of that stuff costs money, so does rent, food, gas, utilities and all the other stuff that comes with life. We work jobs just like you. We have bills just like you. However, at some point along the way, that stuff starts piling up and eventually you have to make cuts. Since this band is nothing any of us want to cut out of our lives, we are taking a big risk and turning to you, our fans for help.
However, with great risk comes great reward. The reward of releasing our 3rd album, a 2 CD / 1 DVD combo, is going to by far be the sweetest.
What we are asking from you guys, our friends, our families, and our fans, is for your support, now more than ever. These are our where our expenses are going for releasing the new album...

What does this mean for the future?
Hopefully it means good things...Tours...Playing with more diverse artists...Exposure to new fans...But most of all, we are trying to make one huge impact...We want some of our music, the two albums we put out previously, to be 100% free for everyone...Not just limited to the people that helped with this campaign, but for everyone that has ever enjoyed this band and anyone that might enjoy this band in the future...And when we say free, we are not just exclusively talking about digital format...We want you, your friends, and people who don't even know who we are or that we are playing to come see us live and walk away with a CD that will hopefully help them the way music has helped us, for absolutely nothing.
Well can't you just make all your music free?
Yes we can...However, studio time, professional mixing and mastering, and printing physical copies of the CD's and merchandise costs money. So not only are you helping us, but you are helping someone else that might not ever get a chance to listen to this band or that might not even give us the chance to listen, at least an option. You're giving something good back to the world and helping a band of honest, hardworking, very talented musicians continue their dream of impacting the world through music.
We as a band have helped raised thousands of dollars for charity and never asked for a dime to step on that stage. We did it because there was something bigger at stake. We will continue to do it, because that is who we are. Music is a universal language. It's one of the few things that everyone has in common.
The cost of getting this project and the rewards to you guys and gals is pretty high, however, we are willing to put everything we have not only into this record, but to getting it funded. We will be contributing our funds to this as well, just like we always have...We just ask that you keep in mind, even contributing $0 gets you, a friend, and someone you don't even know 2 free albums from us.
