Medical Mission to Nicaragua

My name is Diana Boktor and I am a Pre-Physician Assistant student. This upcoming January of 2015 I will be going to Nicaragua as part of a medical mission trip with an organization called Global Medical Training (GMT). The organization takes in pre-health students as well as doctors to serve underserved communities in Central America. As part of our stay, we will be opening a small clinic and working from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
I am currently trying to raise money to help fund my trip. The money will go to medical supplies, medication, translators, hotel stay and air fare.  

There has always been a passion for medicine as well as humanitarian work in my heart and I am very excited about this trip. This past summer I went to Hawaii to serve the homeless population, and I came back with a whole new prospective and a new willingness to help others. I know the same will happen during this trip.
