Many of you know our RESPECT D&B Thursdays resident paparazzi Regal Dee. He is a very talented, dedicated photographer and all-around good guy.
Most of you know Regal's photo coverage from years of shooting L.A. events featured on our club website, social media and various forums, as well as his own website. His photos have appeared in magazines and served as an archive of many Los Angeles club nights.
His images have graced pages of Facebook and many other social media sites serving as a very popular profile pic for various DJs and club-goers alike.
On Thursday February 12, 2015 - after a night of shooting at RESPECT - someone broke into Regal's car while he was stopped for food around 3am.
In one fell swoop, the thief managed to steal his Canon Eos 5D and a bag of very expensive lenses plus all of his storage cards, some still loaded with pictures which the world will never see.
Now consider that Regal Dee has been going out every week for over 10 years, without fail, and shooting events start to finish on his own dime.
He doesn't shoot pictures for money, he has a day job. Regal Dee shoots his photos out of pure passion and love for the L.A. underground.
Regal's commitment is paramount. In an effort to not miss a single event, Dee immediately went out and purchased new equipment to replace his stolen gear. Unfortunately he had to put everything on his credit card.
In an effort to help repay such a tremendous debt, I have started this fundraiser to help Regal Dee pay for his new photo equipment in the total amount of $5000.
We, at Respect D&B Thursdays, truly appreciate his work over the years and will be making a sizable donation of our own - we encourage all to do the same. No amount is too small!
Regal Dee has given so much that we are now asking for your help to give him back what he has lost in a moment what has undoubtedly taken years to amass.
