Sarah Brown and Family Fundraiser

This fundraiser is for a very special lady who has been battling breast cancer as long as I"ve known her. I met Sarah 7 years ago when our children were just under a year old,  and she was the first person who I met through our brand new Mom's playgroup, Mature Couture Moms of Orlando.  She was wearing a wig and holding her beautiful son as she walked into the playdate.   If she hadn't told me, I would have never guessed that she had been going through chemo, as she was not only beautiful but so positive and upbeat and excited about being a new Mom.   Just a couple of years ago, the breast cancer came back in full force and spread to her lungs and she developed tumors in her brain. The cancer is unfortunately now in her spinal fluid.   She was told she had a year to live, and that was two years ago~she has such a tremendous will to live.   Many of us have watched her endure numerous surgeries and  treatments and as taxing as it has been on Sarah and her family, she has inspired so many with her sunny disposition and positive outlook on life.  I personally have been in awe of her strength and amazing  ability to carry on despite her pain.   At one point,  Sarah embarked on a project to build her son a playhouse as a legacy for him, (see above photo) and she started building it herself last year.   She has posted numerous videos on youtube sharing her experiences with cancer in order to help others who are in her shoes.   Sadly, Sarah is now nearing the end of her life, and at the young age of 40,  she will be leaving behind a devoted husband and a loving 8 year old son.  So many of us had been wanting to reach out , yet we were afraid to since Sarah and her family are not only very proud but also very private people.   In addition, the Brown family currently has no family in the state to help them.   As the expenses continue to pile up due to the high cost of medical care,  Sarah 's  amazing sister, Janet and I decided to reach out in the hopes to help ease just some of the burden that this sweet family is carrying.  If you know Sarah, you will know how appreciative she would be of any support given to them and even if you have never met her, let me add that your donation will be well spent.  I truly cannot think of a family more deserving than this one.
