New Hope's Broken Pipes/Boiler Fund

Donation protected
Want to help feed hungry families in Anchorage?  Consider trading the cost of a few special coffees for a donation to New Hope.  Every $ makes a difference.
The New Hope on the Frontier food pantry has been closed for the past two weeks while they try to fix the damage after a pipe in the boiler room burst.

New Hope has provided families with food for 14 years, but just as volunteers were preparing to open the doors to their mental health clients on February 2nd, the broken pipe changed their plans.  New Hope normally provides food to about 250 families a week.  The facility closure for repairs is having a huge impact on our community.
The water damage repair estimate is still unknown, but Ziegler said insurance will not cover all of it.
"Right now we're looking at about $10,000 in damage just for stage one," Ziegler said.

New Hope will also have to replace its furnaces and boilers.  "...that is a $15,000 to $20,000 project alone, so we're looking at a lot of money being back invested in our facility..." Ziegler said.
