Musical Surge is designed for (1) remembering the people lost to Haiyan - that, more than mere mortality statistics, they were people who affected lives; (2) thanksgiving for the life we are gifted and the help that the world extended in our time of need; (3) and hope for the many things we can look forward to.
The Musical Surge Project will also provide a free 3-day workshop to participating choirs in the region starting on the 5th of November, ending with their participation in the Musical Surge vigil concert.
This project also aims to accomplish the following objectives: 1) To utilize choral singing as an effective vehicle in the rehabilitation of Yolanda survivors, 2) To provide an avenue for the talented youth to better and inspire themselves.
Your generosity will go a long way in promoting the culture of Eastern Visayas, Philippines and building back better in this part of the country.
This event project is brought to you by
the Youth for a United World (Y4UW)
in partnership with
the Division of Humanities
