MSU CHM Family

I would like to ask for help in supporting the Plescher family. Yesterday Brittany was studying at home and her kids took their puppy out for a walk around the block as they do every day. They were attacked by 2 unsupervised pitbulls. Their 1 year old puppy Falkor defended the kids and was badly injured. None of the kids were hurt but Falkor their sweet superhero ended up in the ER with a collapsed lung, broken rib and multiple open wounds. Someone was driving by and saw the kids and dogs and helped get the pitbulls off their puppy. They were taken to animal control by police but did not have collars or ID tags. Falkor is going to be okay but the Plescher family will have to pay about 3500 for the medical expenses. As another broke medical student I understand the tragedy of a bill like that. I ask that we rally together and help make this experience a little easier for their family. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you all so much!
