Help Her Graduate

Ronneka McMath is a senior psychology major at Stillman College. We, her professors and classmates, expect her to graduate on May 9, 2015.

Ronneka, like many hard-working young people, is uncomfortable asking people for money.  We are not.  We have watched Ronneka work hard these last few years and we are not willing to stand by and watch her miss her graduation.

Ronneka works a full time job and is a full-time student.  Initially, Ronneka began working to relieve her mother’s financial burdens.

Then, sadly, her mother passed away.

Ronneka lost her biggest supporter, but she continues to be pleasant and productive.  She remembers the lessons and values her mother shared with her.  So, in addition to trying to pay for her schooling, Ronneka helps her brothers and sisters care for her youngest brother. While grieving and caring for her sibling, Ronneka completed all her coursework. Ronneka paid some money towards her tuition, but is about $7,000 short.  She does not have the resources to pay her balance.

Here is where you come in; We/she needs your help!  The students and faculty members of the Psychology Department at Stillman College believe in Ronneka McMath.  She is an intelligent, goal-oriented young woman hoping to go on to graduate school, become a counselor and make a difference in the lives of other young people.

Graduating in May is important to Ronneka because she worked so very hard to get where she is today.  She wants to make her mother and her family proud.  She has encountered many obstacles, but she has stayed positive and kept her eye on the prize.  She kept going.  She did not quit!

Will you help her?  We do not want money to stand between Ronneka and her graduation cap and gown.  Help her walk across the graduation stage with a smile.  No amount is too small and any amount is greatly appreciated.  “Every little bit counts.”  If you cannot share money with Ronneka, then, please share her story with others.

Our Department is a family.  We want nothing more but for Ronneka to graduate, be successful, and most importantly be relieved of her financial burdens so that she can enjoy the fruits of her labors.

Please have a blessed day and REMEMBER RONNEKA.
