Molly Grace's Service Dog Fund

Donation protected
Molly Grace needs a service dog because she suffers from seizures every day.

Molly Grace is a Senior at Oneonta High School.  She has always been active in life and already had her senior year and beyond planned out.  She was a returning majorette with the Redskin Band.  She has already been accepted to college at Judson and decided to double major in Equine Science and Biology and follow with Veterinarian School at Auburn University.  Her life was planned out.

In August of 2016, Molly Grace began to experience seizures.  She was diagnosed with dysautonomia when she was 15 so her parents thought it could be related.  She went to see all her regular doctors but no one could find a link.  She went to a neurologist who sent her to UAB for further testing.  Again, nothing explained the seizures.  Finally her parents self referred to the Mayo Clinic.  Molly Grace was there for 10 days.  As their chief pediatric neurologist explained to them the brain is both mysterious and miraculous.  If you think of the brain as a computer she has a bug in her software and they can't find it.  Molly Grace missed the 1st semester of her senior year.  She missed her last year of twirling as a majorette with the Redskin Band.  She missed her Senior Prom.  So much has been missed but she continues with her positive attitude and beautiful smile.

Her neurologist at Mayo recommended a service dog.  Her parents researched many places but God pointed them in the right direction when doors started to open quickly.  Molly Grace has been matched with a dog and the deposit has been paid.   This is unheard of in the service dog world. He actually is ready now.   He is only waiting on Molly Grace to come train with him.

She will travel to Orlando for two weeks of training.  The company that is training her dog trains in Walt Disney World.  That is a place where there is a distraction of every kind of imaginable.

The funds will be used for the service dog and her travel expenses.  If you have points you can donate for airline tickets or hotel stays please contact Andrea.

Molly Grace has missed a lot this year but she is determined not to miss going off to college this fall.  Because of the timing we are hoping to raise this money quickly so she can complete her training quickly in order not to miss any orientations this summer at college.
