Marie's Mission of Hope Haiti Trip

I’m off to Haiti this coming July with Central Baptist Church (Sioux City Iowa) participating with Mission of Hope. I feel privileged that this will be my second time serving at this Mission. Every year Mission of Hope hosts thousands of participants from around the world. We participate in bringing life transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. We personally experience God’s transformation in our own lives and bring that vision back to our own spheres of influence.
Our group helps in the villages through building, painting and cleaning. It’s hard for me to choose a favorite experience but I adored playing with the children. Their faces light up when we pull out a Frisbee, ball, sang or created a game. I’ve never experienced such imaginative children. Playing with the kids was easy, but the most valuable lesson I learned was staying in constant prayer: for the individuals we came into contact with, for the local churches, for the interns we worked with and for those that the villages had decided to neglect. My faith has always been ‘outside of the box’ and God stretched me that much more. These are all incredible opportunities to connect with the people and share the love of Christ. I am so thankful to be a part of this outreach and partnership with Mission of Hope Being the youngest in the family I’ve always looked up to my siblings. My brother Michael is one of the best examples I have. Selfless, with constant humor, is the way I’d describe him. “Pastor Mike” is leading this group and I can’t wait to serve alongside him!

*Prayer Support: Set aside time to pray for me, my teammates, Mission of Hope, the villages and the
people we will be working with and serving throughout our times of preparation and during our trip.
*Financial Support: My trip will be 100% donation‐funded. I personally need to raise $2,550 (all costs
included). This is a journey that God has called me to and I would greatly appreciate you joining me at any level of support.
