Hope is my beautiful 3 1/2 year old Rottie female. As any pet owner can appreciate, Hope is my companion and best friend especially now that my daughter has grown up and no longer lives at home. I've had Hope since she was a puppy. She is a true sweetheart and is loved by everyone who meets her.
Recently, Hope was diagnosed with torn ACL's in both hind legs and requires expensive surgery to correct. Hope is having great difficulty walking and playing is pretty much out of the question right now. Her quality of life is diminishing as each day passes. We need to get this surgery underway as soon as possible to avoid having arthritis invade the joints and further complicate matters.
The fees for this surgery have been quoted at over $2,500 per leg and this doesn't even begin to cover post-op care. The recovery time for each knee is estimated at 6 months.
The wonderful vets and staff and Whitby Animal Hospital in Whitby, ON will be looking after Hope through these procedures. They have been providing Hope's veterinary care since she was a puppy.
Doggie daycare provider Carmella at Doggytime will be providing post-op care for Hope after the surgeries are done. Carmella has been helping me to take care of Hope for a long time and Hope is a big part of Carmella's family also. She has been a lifesaver for me helping out with Hope.
Please help to give Hope back the quality of life that she needs and deserves.
