Hercules Heartworm Fund
Donation protected
Meet Hercules! He came to us from some unfortunate circumstances. Hercules just turned 4 years old last month and has spent the majority of his life outside on a chain with only a much too small dog house for shelter. His food dish was an oil pan on a bucket and his water was held in filthy old buckets. The day we picked him up it was 28 degrees out and his teeth were chattering from the cold. Despite the less than ideal conditions he was accustomed to, he is very happy go lucky and greets everyone (both 2 legged and 4 legged) with a wagging tail. He is enjoying getting to know all of the comforts of life indoors. Hercules had his first vet visit today and things were much worse than we anticipated. Not only is he loaded with hookworms, roundworms and whipworms, he also is Heartworm positive. Heartworm treatment is extremely expensive and especially in a giant breed dog such as Herc. We want to start treatment as soon as possible because the heartworms cause severe damage to the heart the longer they are left untreated but we need the funds to pay for treatment. Would you please help us help Herc and make a donation? No amount is too small!
