Imagine a service at Tow law without the organ? A Wedding, or Funeral, or one of the regular Baptism services we host? Imagine Christmas without the power of the organ? Nothing said about the regular weekly services we host at Tow law! Nothing short of impossible?!
The current organ was built in 1886, over many years it has developed problems, and has become very unreliable, and in some cases has stopped working altogether!
There are major problems with the leather work on the organ, which are rapidly getting worse by the week, and will continue to develop. It is impssible to predict what will happen, and when, until the organ becomes unplayable and will cost a substantial amount to repair.
We aim to halt this deterioration process soon, to fully overhaul and repair the organ, bringing it fully into commission again, and leaving a legacy for our our children and their children.
We are hoping to raise 10k, and whilst this is a lot of money, in organ terms, it is in fact a comparatively small amount, and would allow us to begin the two stage full overhaul of our organ.
The organ, and the church building is an integral part of the wider community, the church will be opened for events, not just fundraising, but for the use of the community. We need your help to save this beautiful historic organ before it's too late! Please dontate, as little or as much as you will
