Miss Universe Canada -Victoria Deng

I am very excited to share with my friends and family that this year I have been selected as a NATIONAL DELEGATE for MISS UNIVERSE CANADA 2017.

It has always been a dream of mine to participate in a global leading charity platform to promote the causes that I strongly believe in. These include the importance of anti-bullying, global education, setting goals and inspiring others to follow their dreams.

In Miss Universe Canada's platform, we focus strongly on helping others. As a delegate, it is our responsibility to volunteer our time in creating an event to the best of our ability with the end goal of generating the most amount of donations towards a charity called "Operation Smile" (http://www.operationsmile.org/). This non-profit organization believes that no child in the world should lack access to the medical surgery they need to live a happy and healthy life. A large focus of the organization is to assist children who have been born with the genetic condition of a cleft palate by breaking down the obstacles to surgery, arranging the procedure and allowing these beautiful children to have a smile that they can be comfortable, confident, and proud of.

If you can find it within your heart to donate, your monetary contribution will help cover some of my pageantry fees and assist with the logistical costs involved in planning two large fashion fundraising shows in Toronto. My goal is to fundraise $5,000 dollars for "Smile Operations".
