Many people know about Space Camp, Huntsville Alabama’s amazing camp that offers kids of all backgrounds the chance to experience the wonders of training to live and work in Space. But did you know there is also Space Camp for kids with visual impairments? Every year through the Space Camp for Interested Visually Impaired Students (SCIVIS) at the US Space and Rocket Center  the same Space Camp experience is offered to blind and visually challenged kids through the use of audio, large text and braille materials.

Jonathan and Robert are two Enterprising kids who are looking forward to attending SCIVIS in 2015. These brothers both have a rare genetic condition called retinal dystrophy. This condition causes the slow degeneration of their vision and will likely lead to an unusable level of vision or total blindness by adulthood. They don’t let it get them down though; both are very into engineering, science and Discovery.

Along with their family, they are Endeavoring to raise funds through several methods.

They are selling T-shirts through a teespring.com campaign

They also realize that there may be lots of people who want to help, but who already have more than enough T-shirts.  That’s where Go Fund Me comes in. Anyone who wants to can help out. Every little bit adds up. If the only help you can offer is to spread the word, Great! Also please like our page on Facebook . Every person the message reaches is one more person who might be able to help out. Help us meet this Challenge!!!!!
