Michelle's Volunteer Trip (LASH)

Hello, everyone!
I am a student who has an intense passion for righteousness, social justice, equality & changing the world for the better, one step at a time. Hopefully you and I have something in common!
Thus, when I was given the opportunity to volunteer in Cambodia for three weeks, I had to accept. This chance will enable me to give myself to and empower others, while opening my eyes and mind to people who lack the things most of us take for granted every day. Unfortunately, as a student I am not able to cover the total costs of the trip.
Purpose of funds:
The opportunity to volunteer in Cambodia was given to me by a non-profit start-up project called LendASkilledHand (LASH). What makes LASH so special is that it aims to use a volunteer’s greatest skill set to assist communities in need. Thus, I will (hope to!) be contributing my gifts in Cambodia. The objective of this trip is to pass down our knowledge to the locals to be used even after we’re gone. It will be a three-week stay in Siem Riep.
While there are other opportunities for me to volunteer locally at a much lesser cost, I am certain that because of my skills and abilities, this trip will position me to be the biggest help that I can be to a community that has a specific need. Big or small, any amount you contribute pushes me closer to this position. Your generosity will be reflected in the smiles of those in Battambang that I’ll tell this fundraising story to!

Total costs involved:
$300 – Air ticket to and fro from Siem Riep.
$400 - Food, Transport and Accommodation in Siem Riep.
As a student, I have managed to cover the costs of the air tickets ($300). What I’m looking for is a few good hearts to help fund the remaining $400 I will need for this trip.
How you can help me, help others:
A little as $1 would be most welcomed and appreciated.
I will not pressure you in any way to donate to this cause, because as a student I understand how it feels to live on a tight budget.
I would be most grateful if you could help share this on social media though.
In return, all I can give you is my promise to give my very best on this trip and do nothing but put others first on this trip. We are all connected. The ability to see it is often overlooked.
