This Gofundme has been set up in hopes that others will collaborate with my efforts to improve the Pom-Pom program at McCluer High School.
My name is Rega Wesley-Stewart and I am a mathematics teacher at McCluer High School in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. In addition to teaching math, I am the 12-year coach of the Pom Squad. I am looking to take this growing team to a new level of accomplishment and competitiveness. By continuing to provide organization, high standards, and performing opportunities, I plan to keep this organization as “good” as its tradition and history warrants.

Past seasons have greeted the McCluer Pommies with much success. In 2010 they performed at Auto Zone Liberty Bowl half-time show in Memphis, Tennessee with The O’Jays. Recently the team placed 1st in both Kick and Prop a the the 2014 Yvonne Cole Lindbergh Dance Competition
Recent budgets cuts has forced the district to remove financial support to this program. The squad needs funding to assist with uniforms and equipment. We have attempted several team fundraisers since the beginning of the school year, but due to the current needs and climate of the surrounding community, we have not generated the desired results.
Your support of this program would be greatly appreciated not only by me, but each of the Pom Squad members. New uniforms and equipment will do more for the squad besides making them look good. These items will improve their self-confidence, help the student body and staff continue to be supportive and have more pride in the group, and it will allow them to remain competitive with other Missouri schools, which is essential to our continued success.
I hope that you are able to assist me in making the remainder of the ’14 – ’15 season and future seasons for these talented young ladies of the McCluer Pom Squad a great success.
