Caroline's Epilesy Treatment

The moment Caroline entered this world she brought joy to all whom she met.  She lives with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.  Despite all the challenges she faces she manages to maintain a smile and exude a joyful attitude.  Recently her world was turned upside down with tonic seizures that have caused her to fall numerous times resulting in stiches, broken teeth and a bruised spirit. 

In an attempt to give Caroline the best healing opportunities we are exploring both traditional and alternative methods.  The medication she is taking is helping some, however, she continues to have seizures each day.  One of the methods that is yielding the best results currently is the TENS treatment and essential oils.  Caroline is using the TENS machine (Wellness Pro Electrotherapy) at a practitioner's office two times a week.  We would like to be able to purchase a TENS machine for her to use at home daily in the hopes of managing her seizures to aide her in returning to school full time.

Our family is anxiously awaiting Caroline's appointment with an epileptologist at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital, one of the top pediatric epilepsy centers in the country, this April.  We look forward to hearing the treatment plan they suggest to aide Caroline's health as well.
